| Oxyfication Rules/Guidelines: |
| 1: If you sign up, participate. There are thousands of other options out there where you can lurk. Though we ourselves, at times, are the lurking type, we are here to interact, and we ask if you take the time to register, please take another few minutes to say hello, and then a few minutes beyond that to say whatever else that's on your mind. 2: If you're interested in sharing your work, or have an idea for a feature, contact us through the 'Contact Us' section on the forum or through the homepage. We encourage creative people of all walks and influences to participate. 3: Honesty is a must. However, that expectation of honesty doesn’t entitle you to belittle anyone’s work. We don’t expect you to sugar coat something that maybe doesn’t work for you as a reader/viewer, but not at the expense of someone else’s integrity. There are ways to be proper when giving criticism to someone. This etiquette is expected of you. Failure to do so will lead in expulsion. This rule of etiquette is also expected to carry over in regards to everyone’s equal rights as human beings, regardless of race, creed, nationality, sexual orientation, or things of that nature. Hate/Bigotry/Ignorance will not be tolerated. 4: Everything that you read or lay eyes upon is the sole copyright of the person who created it. You are not allowed to remove anything from this site without the written permission of the person who created it. 5: No porn and/or overly offensive language. People of all age groups can view these forums, and may even participate in them. Respect that. Swearing and things of that nature are fine, that after all is life, but just beware of what you are saying, and use proper discretion. You will be held responsible for your actions/words. Anything that may be seen as questionable is subject to removal without notice. Anything that you are unsure of, ask before hand just to be sure. 6: There is a lot of talk about books, movies, and so on. There are inevitably going to be people who look upon these discussions who might not have read/seen what is being discussed. In the spirit of maintaining an element of surprise for these people, we ask that anytime integral parts of book/movie are being revealed, please attach SPOILER ALERT in some prominent fashion to your post/thread. 7: No spamming. If you want to share your excitement about a book you wrote, or a cd your friend put out, we encourage that 100%. But we all know what spam entails and we don't want it. 8: Gifts/Prizes/Awards that may be offered through this site are/were donations and hold no monetary value for taxation purposes. 9: We encourage publishing houses/record companies/writers/musicians to send us their product for review/critique/book club consideration. However, we hold no obligation to do so, and each will be handled on a case by case basis. |
